E.C. Robinson Upholstery Store Front

In 1938 Jacob Robinson began a furniture repair and reupholstery business in a shed in his backyard. He serviced countless customers with projects from furniture repair, refinishing antiques, and restaining to designing and upholstery from that shed for many years. Then he and his son E.C. Robinson Sr. opened up a shop in North Arlington on Lee Highway named Robinson & Son's Upholstery. The business remained at that location for many years.

After Jacob retired, his son E.C. Robinson Sr. took over the family business and renamed it E.C. Robinson Upholstery. Now located in Del Ray Alexandria, the business is under the leadership of his son E.C. Robinson, Jr. Now in it's third generation of a family owned operation, the Robinson family has built up over 70 years of serving clients in the VA and DC Metropolitan area with fine craftsmanship and value.
